Many French people are now aware of the weakness of the government in the face of riots that were clearly organized by thugs and those who inspire and radicalize them. The response must be commensurate with such an unprecedented situation. Instead of launching a sociological study (sic) on the profile of the insurgents or continuing to feed the never-ending pit of "suburb grants":
- Let's promote the fight against trafficking, especially drug trafficking, as a national and European cause.
- Let's give priority to education in morals and good citizenship and no longer tolerate deviance.
- Let's pay tribute to our security forces who risk their lives to protect us, some of whom have lost their lives in so doing.
Let us listen to this poem sung by a policeman, a "song of despair" that stirs the soul.
